1982 AL Game: Ba.l @ Det.

September 28, 1982

 The Detroit Tigers got a well pitched game from Dan Petry tonight defeating the Baltimore Orioles 4-1. Petry went the distance for Detroit allowing only 4 hits and 3 walks in picking up his 16th Win of the season. With the victory the Tiger's Magic # is now down to 1.

Dan Petry completed the game without help from the bullpen at Tiger Stadium
where the Detroit Tigers beat the Baltimore Orioles 4 to 1.
 
Detroit took the lead for good in the 2nd inning plating an isolated run.
That early run support was all that Petry(16-11) required.  Detroit managed 7
hits in their victory.  
 
Scott McGregor(12-15) was the losing pitcher.  He pitched 8 innings allowing 7
hits and 1 walk.
