Milwaukee Brewer SS Robin Yount led the way to the AL's 5-2 victory over the NL in tonight's MLB All Star Game. Yount clubbed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI for the junior circuit. It was the first All Star Game played outside of the USA in 53 years of play. Montreal's Olympic Stadium was the host site for the game and hometown catcher gave the fans a reason to cheer when he hit a solo homerun in the 8th inning for the NL. The AL jumped out to a 4 run lead in the top of the 1st inning with Yount's 2 run homer the big blow. 7 AL pitchers held the NL batters to 3 hits in the game.

Shortstop Robin Yount ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Olympic Stadium as
the American 1982 club beat the National 1982 ballclub 5 to 2.
Yount enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He popped a two-run clout over the
fence in the 1st inning, lined a one-base hit in the 2nd inning and hit a
bases-empty home run in the 9th inning. American 1982 finished with 11 hits
while National 1982 ended up with 3.
Dennis Eckersley(1-0) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory.
Eckersley got relief help from Dan Quisenberry who gained credit for his 1st
save. Joaquin Andujar(0-1) was the losing pitcher.
