1982 NL Games: Phil. @ Mon.

August 12, 1982

A doubleheader was played today at Montreal's Olympic Stadium, and while both games went extra innings, only 2 runs total were scored. The Expos won both games over the Philadelphia Phillies by identical 1-0 scores. Game 1 went 13 innings before Montreal won on an Andre Dawson RBI single scoring Tim Raines from 2nd base. Game 2 went 10 innings before Montreal won again on an RBI single, this time by Joel Youngblood that scored Tim Raines. Both games obviously saw some excellent pitching, and the Phillies had to feel down after losing 2 games allowing only 2 runs in 23 innings.
