1982 AL Game: Mil. @ Det

June 18, 1982

  After a tough loss in game 1 of a 4 game series against the Milwaukee Brewers when Gorman Thomas hit a 2 run homer in the 9th inning, the Detroit Tigers bounced back in game 2 by flexing their own muscles. The Tigers hit 6 homeruns in the game and smashed Milwaukee 12-4. Larry Herndon came out of a recent slump by hitting 2 homers. The 6 HR are the most hit in a game by any team so far this season.

Larry Herndon rocketed 2 homeruns and Milt Wilcox had a complete game at Tiger
Stadium where the Detroit Tigers beat the Milwaukee Brewers 12 to 4.
 
In the bottom of the 4th inning Detroit went on top for good plating one
baserunner.  Detroit had a total of 12 hits for the game.  
 
Wilcox(6-4) lasted until the end allowing 4 runs for the win. Randy Lerch(4-1)
was hit with the loss.  He allowed 3 homeruns in 6 and 1/3 innings of work.
